Accessibility
How Gevell Links is built for everyone, including users with disabilities.
Our commitment
Gevell Links is built to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards. Accessibility is not an afterthought — it is a core requirement of every feature we build.
Keyboard navigation
Every feature is fully usable with a keyboard alone:
- Tab moves focus between interactive elements
- Enter or Space activates buttons and links
- Escape closes dialogs and menus
- Arrow keys navigate within menus and dropdowns
- A skip link at the top of every page lets you jump directly to the main content
Screen reader support
All pages use semantic HTML elements (nav, main, article, button) so screen readers can accurately describe the page structure. Specific features include:
- All images have descriptive alt text
- Form inputs have associated labels
- ARIA attributes are used where semantic HTML alone is insufficient
- Live regions announce dynamic changes (e.g. link saved, error occurred)
Color and contrast
- All text meets a minimum 4.5:1 contrast ratio against its background (AA standard)
- Interactive elements have visible focus indicators
- Information is never conveyed by color alone
High contrast mode
A high-contrast mode is available for users who need stronger visual distinctions. Enable it from the accessibility settings or use your operating system's high-contrast preference.
Reduced motion
Users who prefer reduced motion (via the prefers-reduced-motion media query) will see simplified animations. No essential information depends on animation.
Responsive design
All pages are fully functional on mobile, tablet, and desktop devices. Touch targets are at least 44x44 pixels as recommended by WCAG 2.2.
Reporting issues
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please let us know. We take accessibility reports seriously and aim to resolve them quickly. See the Getting Support guide for contact details.
